Cataldo – “Person You’d Be Proud Of”

Cataldo is the recording mission of Seattle musician Eric Anderson. His upcoming album known as Keepers, and the observe we’re premiering at this time definitely matches the invoice. “Person You’d Be Proud Of” is wistful and hopeful and delightful, a brightly emotive but understated slow-build that splits the distinction between Anderson affiliate Ben Gibbard’s pensive indie rock stylings and rhythmically complicated pop worthy of an ’80s teen film’s closing credit. Or as Anderson himself explains it:

At some level recording this tune my drummer requested “So…are we going full Gabriel?” As you’ll be able to hear, we tremendous, tremendous did. This is a track about feeling fortunate and eager to in some way earn your personal success.
